It’s safe to say I’ve been an organized person since I was a kid. I can remember my mom giving me a quarter for making my bed every morning (something I still do EVERY morning). Everything always had to be neat and have a place.
Growing up (ew, I say that like I’m a senior), I always used my organization skills in every role I held. I think my ability to be organized and resourceful is how I was able to climb the corporate ladders of a multi-million dollar restaurant chain. I spent 10+ years there implementing new systems, processes, policies, and procedures for 600+ employees. Some of my greatest accomplishments in life came out of my time there and really prepared me for the business I have now.
My experience has given me the ability to easily identify gaps in a process and implement sustainable solutions, in fact, that’s my superpower!
In 2019, I made the difficult and scary decision to quit my job of 12+ years and start my own business. As cheesy as it sounds, I knew I was made for more and I was ready to explore my potential.
Thank God I quit when I did, because then in early 2020 the world and schools shut down due to Covid and I was thrown into trying to balance a new business, kids home with me full time, and being a home school teacher for my kindergartner.
Yeah, let’s never do that again, k?
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been one hell of a journey, and I’m excited to see where my business takes me and who I meet and help along the way.
